A Special Selichot Tour (in Hebrew)

A special nighttime experience at the Tower of David and in the alleyways of the Jewish Quarter in the spirit of the month of Elul and the Autumn holidays in Jerusalem (In Hebrew)

A special nighttime experience at the Tower of David and in the alleyways of the Jewish Quarter in the spirit of the month of Elul and the Autumn holidays in Jerusalem. The tour begins at the breathtaking observation point at the top of Phasael Tower at the Tower of David where you can see all of Jerusalem. Then, journey to the Kishle, used in the past as a prison. Archaeological excavations here have unearthed remains from all the periods of Jerusalem’s history. Hear about this building’s connection to Yom Kippur and the tradition of blowing the shofar. Go out to the alleyways of the Jewish Quarter and learn about the significance of the tradition of reciting selichot prayers during these days and feel close to the spirit of the month of Elul in Jerusalem.

The tour ends at the Western Wall Plaza during the time of recitation of selichot prayers.

The tour and subject matter are appropriate for adults (not school children) | On the night before Yom Kippur (October 3), there will not be a selichot tour because of crowds in the Old City. Warm clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Tickets to the Night Spectacular can be reserved for only 50 NIS extra
Look for the tab, "Add Night Show to Slichot Tour" on the Night Spectacular or KING DAVID reservation page
